by Kim Poor
Alongside her painting, Kim is renowned internationally for her jewellery. As a jeweller she is a perfectionist and it's this attention to detail that makes her work so coveted around the world.
Each piece combines her culture, art and spirituality in extraordinary works of imagination; her jewels, in effect, miniature works of art. Kim's drive to make each piece idiosyncratic, working not just with the beauty of a stone but with its unique flaws, means that stones are individually sourced, chosen for their colour, texture, energy and healing properties. The designs are inspired by nature itself, the Brazilian emerald green seas, crystal blue skies and the opalescent beauty of butterfly wings. There you are surrounded by colour but, most of all, it’s the rhythm that’s the biggest influence.
